Rivalry renewed as McKinley and Massillon launches 2017 food fight

CANTON / MASSILLON – The rivalry erupts as the Pups and Tigers launch the 2017 Food Fight leading up to the 2017 McKinley – Massillon gridiron clash Oct 28.

For the sixth annual Food Fight, the two schools ask their fans to join the fray in the battle against hunger

Students, faculty and Pup and Tiger supporters can give non-perishable food and monetary donations as the rivals compete for bragging rights and a traveling trophy.

All donations in the McKinley – Massillon Food Fight go to Stark County Hunger Task Force and will be distributed through the organization’s network of more than 30 pantries throughout Stark County.

During the past five Food Fights, the pups and tigers brought in the equivalent of nearly 116,000 pounds of groceries for the hungry in food and monetary donations.

To join the battle, drop off food at either of the high schools; Stark County Hunger Task Force offices, 408 9th St. SW, Canton, or WHBC / Mix 94.1 radio stations, 550 Market St. S, Canton.
