Interest in testosterone is climbing fast in Ohio — and it’s not slowing down. A new analysis from Invigor Medical shows Google searches for testosterone-related topics in the state have jumped 84.3% since 2015.
The spike mirrors a national trend driven by growing awareness of age-related hormone changes, social media health content, and easier access to treatment through telemedicine.
While testosterone therapy is FDA-approved for men with clinically diagnosed deficiencies, it’s often promoted off-label for symptoms like low energy, reduced muscle mass, and low libido. That marketing push — combined with the influence of fitness influencers and wellness podcasts — has fueled curiosity.
In Ohio, the most rapidly growing related search this past year was: “Does masturbation cause low testosterone?” That mix of legitimate health questions and viral myths reflects the complex nature of the conversation online.
Nationwide, interest is highest in Southern and Mountain West states, but every state has seen growth over the past decade.
For now, Ohio’s search surge underscores a broader shift: testosterone isn’t just a medical topic — it’s part of a larger cultural conversation about health, vitality, and aging.
