Ride Cedar Point's Point Plummet and help LeBron James Family Foundation

Cedar Point

Cedar Point has launched a new summer-long fundraiser and has enlisted the help of its newest attraction at Cedar Point Shores Waterpark – Point Plummet, a six-story aqua-drop body slide. The proceeds will go directly to the LeBron James Family Foundation, an organization that positively affects the lives of children and young adults through education and co-curricular educational initiatives.

Going on now, Cedar Point will donate 10 cents for every ride taken (up to 100,000 rides) on Point Plummet this summer. In addition, the park will donate a family four-pack of 2018 Cedar Point Platinum Passes to the 100,000th Point Plummet rider.

“As huge fans of Cedar Point and its Point Plummet slide, we are thrilled and honored to be the beneficiary of this amazing new attraction,” said Michele Campbell, executive director of the LeBron James Family Foundation. “As our I PROMISE program continues to expand, every resource is vital to the long-term impact we are working to have on our students and their families. We are so grateful to have a partner like Cedar Point that understands and supports that mission and we appreciate every single rider that enjoys Point Plummet and supports our kids.”

The all-new Cedar Point Shores Waterpark is 18 acres of family fun on Lake Erie, with 17 slides and attractions, new places to dine, relax, chill and soak up the summer sun. The waterpark is open daily through Sept. 4.

Guests looking for unlimited visits to Cedar Point Shores this summer should purchase their 2017 Platinum Pass right now – prices will go up on June 6. A Platinum Pass is valid for unlimited admission to Cedar Point and Cedar Point Shores Waterpark and includes free parking, Early Entry into Cedar Point, early access to Cedar Point Shores, in-park discounts on food and merchandise, exclusive ride nights, passholder events and more.
