SonFest, Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s annual outdoor Christian music festival, celebrated its 20th Anniversary of fellowship, community, and Christian music and welcomed thousands of fans to the Grove of the MVNU campus on Saturday, Sept. 23. Christian music artist Plumb headlined the event along with many other bands.

“SonFest 2017 was marked by great attendance from the MVNU community and fans from all across Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky! The bands put on a phenomenal show and it was exciting to see participants enjoy the new BMX bike show added this year. The atmosphere was perfect for an amazing Christ-honoring experience,” said Rob Stanley, Assistant Director of Admissions at MVNU.

After Bonray kicked things off, other bands performed on two stages throughout the afternoon including Ex-Nihilo, Sarah Reeves, Safekept, Jonny Diaz, The Lasting Hope, JJ Weeks Band, Damac, Anthem Lights, and The Ruins.

The event also featured a BMX Show, inflatable games, festival food, and more.
