NASCAR in Mexico: Speed, Altitude, and Tacos—Not Necessarily in That Order

NASCAR went international, y’all—and not just to a southern state that feels like another country. No, this time, they hit Mexico City, where the track's altitude is so high it gave cars nosebleeds and drivers unexpected tummy troubles.

Shane van Gisbergen, who sounds like a Bond villain but drives like lightning, took the win after leading 60 laps and managing to keep lunch down (barely). Even Carson Hocevar, who trashed the idea pre-race, flip-flopped faster than a pit crew tire change once he met the taco carts and the fans.

Meanwhile, NASCAR fans proved they travel well—especially when the snacks are better and the racing includes dramatic altitude changes. Sure, travel logistics were a mess, but so is every TSA line.

Should NASCAR come back? Only if they bring Pepto to the pit box and let fans wave tortillas instead of flags. ¡Viva la left turn!
